“All in: Watch, Try & Participate”
The motto of the INTERACT Festival reflected the atmosphere of the event that gathered the citizens of Perugia, International Sport Organisations (ISOs) and delegations from 20 European countries on 23 – 29 September 2022.
The INTERACT Festival was piloted as part of the 2nd TAFISA European Sport for All Games, hosted by INTERACT Partner the Italian Federation of Traditional Sports and Games. Sports demonstrations, clinics and opportunities for the population to try out new sports gave rhythm to the event’s days – including a School day gathering 500 pupils at the Santa Giuliana Stadium on 26 September.
The Perugia days were also host of the 3rd TAFISA Europe Conference, where the INTERACT Project was presented. An INTERACT project partners meeting also took place on 23 September. Stay tuned as the concept of the INTERACT Festival will soon be published!

After a great teamwork led by our INTERACT partner the International Fistball Association, we are pleased to announce that the INTERACT Good Practices collection webpage was launched during the 27th TAFISA World Congress in Portoroz, Slovenia.
It is now possible to see and analyze over 30 Good Practices implemented by both International and National Organisations at https://www.interact-sport.com/good-practice.
All the Good Practices are divided by Target Group, Purpose and Type of Initiative and can be browsed through a tailored search tool. Each good practice features – among others – detailed descriptions of the aims, resources and venues needed to implement the initiative, as well as success factors.
The page also includes a section where anybody can submit to our INTERACT team new Good Practices to keep the content updated. Click here to read about one of the WMF good practices.

How can International and National Sport Organisations (ISOs & NSOs) promote and develop Sport for All, and create a better world? This is a central question that the INTERACT project – co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, addresses and that is part of its capacity-building framework, which was piloted in Leipzig, Germany, on 4 – 5 May 2022. (Note: the WMF is a project partner in INTERACT - International and European Sport Organisations Activate Citizens).
Held on 26 January 2022, the INTERACT Opening Conference was an astounding success, generating lively debates between the participants and speakers. More than 340 participants from 86 countries registered. The event highlighted the key role that International Sport Organisations can play to increase Sport for All participation and create a better world.

Inclusive and inspiring sports, accessible for all!
Those are a few of the keywords for the INTERACT project, leaded by TAFISA and in which WMF is an active partner. On November 9 and 10 it was time for a project meeting in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. WMF was represented in person by Maarit Larinen from
Sweden and the president of WMF, Dr. Gerhard Zimmerman from Germany. Verners Kirss from Latvia took part online.
TAFISA Interact Project has picked up the pace – the Project partners from different International Sports Organizations (ISO’s) are very actively, seriously and deeply working within different sections (chapters) which they are responsible for.
We in the minigolf family recognize the importance of grassroot participation in sports. For our clubs they are the bread and butter of our activities. Many clubs and national federations are already actively working on inclusion with various groups, i.e. children or people with different abilities.
When the WMF was approached by TAFISA (The Association for International Sports for All) to take part in an EU-sponsored project together with several other European sport federations it was therefore an easy decision to accept. The project - "International and European Sport Organisations Activate Citizens – INTERACT" - aims to increase grassroot participation and the principles of "Sport for All". The INTERACT project hopes to achieve that by means of an online platform of good practices, a Sport for All toolkit, and eventually a new multisport event. For our part, the WMF was tasked with the first part of the project, which was to build an online database of international and European sport organisations.
INTERACT Project aiming to place Sport for All and Physical Activity at the forefront of International Sport Organisations is now in motion
