Results from the Irish Minigolf Open at Rainforest Adventure Golf

Adam Kelly from Great Britain has won Ireland’s very first Irish Minigolf Open, which was held at Rainforest Adventure Golf in Dublin (Ireland). Adam registered a score of 219 over 8 rounds, leaving his final score 69-under par. Kelly cashes in with a cheque for €1500.

The Irish National Minigolf Champion was also up for grabs for Irish participants in the competition. Jamie Campbell claimed the title of Irish National Champion after registering a score of 262 over 8 rounds, leaving his final score 26-under par. Jamie cashes in with a prize of €350.

36 players took part in the competition, 18 of them Irish and 18 from across Europe.

Invitation WMF Minigolf Croatian Grand Prix 2017

The invitation for the WMF Minigolf Croatian Grand Prix 2017 is now available. The event will be held on the newly build felt course and miniaturegolf course of Zaton Holiday Resort in Zaton (Nin), Croatia on the 3rd and 4th of June 2017 and is considered as a test event for both participants at the upcoming World Championships General Class as well as for the organisation team.

Ireland's First Minigolf Open To Take Place In Rainforest Adventure Golf

Leinster and Irish Rugby International, Sean Cronin, officially launched the inaugural Irish Minigolf Open today at Rainforest Adventure Golf in Dundrum. The Irish Minigolf Open is set to take place on Saturday February 18th and Sunday February 19th in Rainforest Adventure Golf.

Sean Cronin and both his Leinster and Irish teammates are regular visitors to Rainforest Adventure Golf, with Irish International Ian Madigan holding the best record on both the "Aztec" and "Mayan" courses in Rainforest Adventure Golf, followed closely by Leinster and Irish International Dominic Ryan.

National School Minigolf Championship to be held in India

Maharashtra, India - The National School Minigolf Championship is being held from January 17 - 20, 2017 at Sandip Polytechnic University. Prior to this event the State School Minigolf Championships is being held January 13 - 15, 2017 at the same location.  The events are being organized by the Minigolf Federation of India (MFI) in conjunction with the School Games Federation of India. 

The sport of minigolf has been gaining in popularity in India and the MFI expects this event to be a keystone in tapping into the potential of the sport within the country.  The MFI expects over 5,000 participants from hundreds of schools accompanied by coaches and referees for this major national event. Per the Olympic Charter, “The goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practised in accordance with Olympism and its values."  Events like the National School Minigolf Championship are in line with this goal and further help promote the sport of minigolf to future generations of players.
