International Day of Persons with Disabilities

December 3, 2021 is the the annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons, which was first proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
With minigolf we are proud to have a sport that can so easily integrate persons with disabilities. From the World Deaf Championships to wheelchair leagues and handicapped accessible courses, minigolf is accessible to a range of individuals of all ages and abilities. We hope to continue to expand how we can provide programming for persons with disabilities and welcome suggestions to help us further our goal.
