We are proud to announce that we have prolonged the contract which allows all WMF Active Members and their member clubs to use Bangolf Arena (BA) and Bangolf Arena Mobile Scorecard (BAMS) software for free. But there is even more good news!
Isberg Information from Sweden has recently put a lot of effort on developing Bangolf Arena Online (BAO) which is the third and final stage of the complete Bangolf Arena vision of Lars Isberg, the father of BA and BAMS. BAO is a web-based solution which can handle player, course and club registers, tournaments and even ranking lists.
On the first level BAO is handling the players, clubs and courses and the new contract includes the use of this level for all WMF member associations. WMF sees this as big help especially to our smaller members who can now easily have their member database in BAO and from there easily handle all tournaments in a Bangolf Arena PC client. Also our bigger members will profit from this new feature by easier handling of their tournaments.
We will work on the registration process of approved minigolf courses in the close future, as the goal is to move the reporting and the course register to BAO as soon as possible.
Before starting to use BAO level 1 the Active Members need to sign a simple agreement with WMF, guaranteeing that General Data Protection Regulation issues are being handled properly. Behind the links at the end of the article you can find a short introduction on how to start with BAO level 1 as Active Member” as well as a more comprehensive introduction to Bangolf Arena Online.

We are very glad that the cooperation with Lars Isberg continues and develops constantly. Lars is a man who is not so visible to many of us, but his influence on the development of minigolf sport with BA, BAMS and now BAO has been great during the last 15 years. He has always been a reliable partner and as active player he understands the needs of different users and user groups and does his best to implement them quickly.

I'm really glad that WMF and Isberg Information could close an agreement to offer BAO Level 1 as part of a free service to all WMF (Active) Members. This will make it possible for all federations and tournament administrators around the world to handle players, tournaments and much more in a better way. Federations now have an online system that will enable more services. I had the idea of BAO for several years and finally after a lot of hard work and things falling in place it is now available for all. The journey will continue.
